Exhaust

--- Quote from: "Bulli" --- it now comes out behind the rear wheel.....with a big stainless chav end!

I'm sure I've seen someone who either makes a kit to bring the tailpipe out through the rear wing, just behind the mudflap bracket, or they just make the wing mounting.
Anyone know who it is as I'd be interested in mod'ing my tailpipe to keep it clear.
Leigh:
Colin, where are those ramps? Your own?
seph234:
there was a post about colin cleaning his disco i think it is a truck steam/washer bay near him. joe

It has to be said (sorry) that the words 'performance exhaust' and 'land rover tdi' are not natural bedfellows ;-)
Don't expect huge power gains from adding a big pipe to a Disco... it will sound louder though, so you might get the feeling that you are going quicker :-)
colintandy:
:D that is very true tim it is very much erelevent the power gain on its own but when matched with the inter cooler and a wee bit fiddling on pump then it does tend to all work together and im sure that a standard exhaust system for a 200 tdi could not put up with the streeses of escaping gasses a thus it would work against you and not release enough gas flow which in turn would upset somethink in the engine i would expect
the ramps the pic on are at a company called high-track on geddington road corby near scania dealership thats were i go get a proper wash after playing 25 quid all in takes about 1.5 hrs need to book in though
need to sort that long pipe out still anyone no what the mot law is in regards to the length of pipe that i have to have or can i just cut her shorter been told that it has to travel to the rear of vehicle the only side exit exhaust ive seen have only been on comp trucks that are normall trailerd to events
