How many members gave up the dreaded fags on NYD?

Cut right down from about 20 a day to 5-6

Read in the paper that its best not to give straight up on NYD but wait and reduce and try to give up about a week in to the new year as you stand a better chance when your not still stressed etc after christmas and new year
now wheres my lighter gone......

the only trouble is I get really moody when I cut out the evil weed altogether so I wont just stop
I've given up before - normaly for about 6 months at a time but seem to start up again. Usualy if I end up sat in a pub etc and after a couple of pints I'll have a ciggy and then....well you know the rest

I am not allowed to smoke in the house anyway, if its raining I have to stand outside or go in the garage.
I smoke roll ups, and a 2 ounce pack of Old Virgin will last me best part of a month { and I get mine delivered if you catch my drift }and costs about a FIVER.
Mind you, I havent had a drink since new years eve.
Swmbo keeps a pack of baccy hidden for when I try to pack up, after a day or two I start to get very short tempered and rattley and snappy and grumpy and, well you get my drift. Last time I tried I lasted 3 days before she shoved a fag in me gob shouting SMOKE THAT YOU BASTID AND SHUT UP.

Patches seem to hold cravings at bay - just need to keep finding things to do with my hands !
Only problem I've had so far is I can't bloody sleep - I mean it's Sunday and I've been up since seven - still it's a nice day , think I'll go and lie under me Landrover................................ :lol:
