will a SJ410 engine and gearbox fit straght into a SJ413?

if so how easy job is it?

My mothers SJ413 was painfully slow, God only knows how bad a 1.0 is... :shock:

i have heard a rumor that the SJ410 is a better engine that the SJ413  :?

Hope you are right, i've been offroading in a 50's S1 and the SJ still shocked me, slow, noisy, rubbish engine (carb maybe was knackered but only a J with 60.000 miles) uncomfortable, cramped.  Bloody horrendous to be honest. But She loved it regardless.

Also low 1 wasn't really low enough either, same with the Jimny.

Hi mate, the 1.0 engine will not go straight in as the 1300 engine mounts are in a different place, you would have to cut the mounts off and weld them in the right place the 1300 sjs are good but are even better with a 1.0 transfer box as it is geared lower.

I found out last year when my 1300 went bang, i wouldnt bother.

i would stick with the 413 engine if i was you ive never changed the clutch on my sj but i would of thought it wouldn't be to bad
