I use one of these
combined with one of these
It'll clamp onto most things and at any angle
A word of warning on the suction ones.... they're very good but don't leave them stuck on a window on a hot sunny day, the black rubber concentrates the heat and can cause the glass to crack

Here is what I use for inside shots with a DV cam
The same rig as used on Top Gear
And the Mini waterproof cam for outside shots in the mud
