Nut removal (Shocks)
« on: April 08, 2004, 08:47:05 »
Nearly there 3 done and suprise suprise the bottom nut on the last shock will just not budge. Tried monkey wrench, brute force and chisel and no luck.

Any tips on how to get the damn thing off without damaiging the car - I don;t care for the shock or the turret as I have replacements.

TIA

A bit of heat from a blowlamp usually does the trick, but dont get the shocker too hot, as they can explode. Also try using a sharp chisel to split the nut. :D
