I wonder if anyone can help me.

earlier today my rev counter died and when i turned the car off the battery light stayed on, i checked the contacts on the back of the alternator and they seem ok.

now the alarm has gone off and i cant get into the car even by using the key in the door lock,i will get into the car by the back goor as it is not on the central locking.

any ideas would be helpful

ps it is a 92 vogue se

many thanks

Hi,

Sounds like your alternator Diode pack has had it :(

so your battery may well be flat now as well ?

New Alternator/new diode pack required :?
