thats awfull, i must admit i went to the burger van and left the truck un locked and phone in there, stupid i know but you just dont think it ill happen where everyone has the same passion! i wont be leaving it unsecure like that in the future i might even have left the keys in the ignition so as not to miss place them. Is that why the police were up there? or was that just coz they fancied a burger and a cuppa?

Not sure, but I know I've accidentally opened Defender and Discovery door locks with the ignition key before, and have watched somebody open the wrong vehicle by mistake in a busy car park  :lol:

The 101 ignition key is like no other key known to man nor locksmith, so I'm not too worried about anybody using the ignition key, but I don't think Series door locks are really up to much.

ooo-er.. bad luck there and it is a real shame.. Best advice is trust no one anywhere.. although I am a paranoid person about stuff like that it can end up rulling your life if yuo aren't careful.. I have driven back 10 miles cus I couldnt remember locking the front door etc!

For door locks I may in the future see about removing the exterior locks and just fitting a remote central locking kit and be done with it :-)

Fit a car alarm and place the siren inside the car, no one pays any attention to them these days, perhaps even avoids them in case of confrontation, so put it inside and make their ears bleed!
