1982 RR Self Levelling damper

Hi All

Carrying out bob tail to my new toy and was wondering if anyone has removed the self levelling damper from there Rangie or has comments either way (pro's/cons)  :?:

For an off-road toy, especially a manx, do what the Police did. Unbolt it and use it as a handy doorstop or paperweight.

Or mail it to someone you dislike.

.....or who does a lot of towing!

Was one of the first things I chopped off my bobtail. Its just some extra weight thats not really required.
