can any body tell me wot the little hole is for in the bottom of a 200tdi water pump or should it not be there :cry:  :cry: pic attatched

Most water pumps have them, its called a tell-tale hole, when the packing seal in the pump has failed, coolant will leak out of it, telling you that this pump is no good, time to change the thing

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Is yours leaking then, try moving the pully from side to side to see if there is any free play, normally means the bearing is on its way out
