i am going to centre parks up in penrith next week with the family . for the first time. any one been to recommend any thing in particular. both kids are teenagers all they want to do is quad bike and paintball

strapping young lad:
take your bikes cos its quite hilly!

and your trunks cos all swimming is free!

and loadsa money cos it aint cheap! ;)

its worth shopping in the supermarket in penrith before you go in cos that will make things loads cheaper.

go on their website as there is info on the penrith site as to what they have on offer.

Stormin:
There's Greystoke Castle.  Quad bikes there.  Plus off road buggies.  I think you'll get the info at Centerparcs.  There's a paint ball place at Aspatria, near Wigton, on the Maryport road.  Go kart racing at Maryport, West Coast Karting, and THAT is good.  :D  I take it by next week you mean Monday?  With a bit more notice I could have got you more details.  I've to go to Manchester early in the morning, 3am, :(  so will not be on here till Sunday night.

p4203:
no worries cheers for your replies
 looking forward to it anyway

Bush Tucker Man:
Can I assume that  you'll be travelling via the A59 & then the A65 from Skipton??

I can recommend a visit to Keswick, it's a beautiful little town on  the north-eastern flanks of Derwent Water.
It has the added attraction of the 'Cars Of The Stars' museum & that has a wonderful collection of iconic cars, such as;
General Lee (genuine studio car)
FAB 1 (full-size)
3 BatMobiles (TV, Michael Keaton & Val Kilmer)
Munsters Coach
KITT

Grasmere is a wonderful place & Sara Nelsons Gingerbread shop is unmissable

Oh & if you're going on the A590 at any point over the weekend& are between Grasmere & St John-in-the-Vale , look out for the wonderful (listed) 1930's AA boxat this location (well, I think this phone symbol is it, but it's along this stretch)

Oh & this is a new one on me :?

Do yourself a favour & come back over the old A6 Shap road (not down the M6), it's a marvellous route.

Hope you enjoy it, it's a wonderful place to be, I could almost live up there instead of Yorkshire
