Hi Guys, Has anyone got a clue what could be wrong with my Disco??? I was driving home tonight when as i was trying to boot it up the hill it started to die on me??? Then when i got to the top it was fine again...plus has lost a bit of its kick when you open it right up, any ideas guys would be great
Xtremeteam:
what sort of disco is it?
TD5 or TDI ??
Xtremeteam:
lift pump on its way out,air filter choked & tryin to turn inside out, split intercooler hose, fuel filter choked
ChrisW:
What Mike said and check the spill lines as well - had a tiny split in one of mine which would suck air in when booting it and the engine would cough and stutter all over the place but soon as you drove it a bit more 'sedately' it was fine - check the braiding on the hoses for being soaked in diesel.

have a good check on intercooler hoses its normally the one that you cant see very well  best to remove fully check /replace if bad also check that they not on to tight when put back as that can cause them to split under the jubilee clip and you wont notice till now so also check on the hoses where the clip has been positioned and make sure that the sit correctly over the rims of the connectors else will lose all preasure when under load, while you got off :D may aswell check the fins on the turbo give all area a good clean pipes a good clean out also check front of intercooler if blocked with mud it wont work properly
