The issue isn't what car you use on the school run, it's that most parents should get off their lazy fat a**es and teach their kids to walk soemwhere ocasionally rather than drive 500 yards in the car every morning.
Given that we (4x4 owners) are recognised as being amongst the safest road users by the police and insurance companies, ouor cars either run on deisel or LPG which is a by-product of eurobox fuel, our cars tend to last much longer than euroboxes which lowers their environmental load by a large margin, we are hardly public enemy No.1 like the tree huggers would have people believe.
It's about time students got their noses into some books too, bl***y layabouts
The tune will soon change if we have a bad winter, personally I think Tim should be doing well with his "bandwagon" stickers this year.

Naturally you are going to see these cars on school runs and at Sainsbury's
Why not? It doesnt mean they don't get used elsewear. I think it's real shame that most don't get muddy but it's still an individuals choice what car to own. What right have these bully's got to stigmatise people for having the car they like.

Voted, we have a disco2 & do the school run with only one child in it, people do sometimes pass coment but they are then asked if they would say the same thing if they were to see us out in it with four oap's in the back  , then we tell them this vehicle is our choice & go get the facts before making jugments on what we can & can't drive,
PS:- school run is about 6 miles.

In the 80s and early 90s it was the Volvo 240. If they banned 4x4s it would be just something else they feel 'safe' in.
