Tyre choice again

(1/3) > >>

luffy:
I know requests for tyre opinions come up quite regularly but I can't find an answer to my question with a search.

Has anyone got any experience of Insa Turbo Dakar tyres? I need a new set of four and Paddacks are currently selling these for £57 each (inc delivery if ordered online) which doesn't seem a bad price for 235/85 16s.

The tread pattern of these Insa tyres looks to be identical to that on the BF Goodrich MT KM tyres so I assume they can't be that bad.

The other tyres I've shortlisted are Greenways but I can't decide whether Chacos or Machos would be better.

The tyres I currently have are Bronco Roughriders.

Anybody care to offer an opinion?

I'll say what I always say... especially when dealing with a brand you don't know.

Check that the tyres carry 'E' marks, and the correct speed rating for your vehicle....  this is VERY IMPORTANT.

There is a list of speed ratings in the workshop section of the site, and a quick search in the forum for 'speed rating' should pop up a few vehicle speeds.

Tim........dont I just know about E numbers  ..he s dead right check that the tyres conform to Regs ECE 108......there are a lot of well known tyres that dont, dont compromise your safety for saving a few quid.It might be the last few quid you spend....My opinion BFG s anytime.
