...would this be a better bet, being stainless? I'm just looking for a straight through pipe to put in place when I blank off the EGR on my 98 300 TDi.
May try Ali as well. If I'm going to freeze my nuts off in the cold working on the Disco, then I want to know when I put the bonnet down that I've made the best choice. :wink:
Intercooler will come later... when I've stashed more cash away from SWMBO. Then, next service... :twisted:

Horness, the cheapest way for disconnecting the EGR valve is just to block the pipe running from the EGR to the intercooler outlet pipe.
All you need is a blanking plate that cost less than £2 at a dealers.
I actually removed mine, blanked the exhaust manifold and then cut the original metal pipe to remove the section with the EGR pipe, but retaining the bend, and then refitted it using silicone hoses I got from Allards. :wink:

Just to let you know that now that it has warmed up enough for me to venture under the bonnet I took the offending pipe off and blocked up the holes with silicone sealer. It's made a hell of a difference so I got a price for those blue pipes.............£72 plus VAT. I would like to change them all just in case there are more splits. I can't find them on any of the usual sites, anyone know of a cheaper alternative or the correct part numbers? Cheers!!!

You'll only find get them from the people listed above or from Allard's as they are made for these companies. :wink:
£74 for a full set seems about right, you get what you pay for!! :D
