Turbo pipework

Something Iv'e been wondering ever since I bought my H reg 200Tdi (but not done anything about), does it affect perfomance if the large pipe that runs from radiator area in to the turbo is split? Is it just an air input or is it pre-warmed, or something?  :?

I take it that you mean the reason that the H reg which doesn't smoke, leak oil (much), has clean water, etc, seems sluggish compared to the J reg I had previously is most probably the split hose?

i had this problem it once fley then onday after towing a heavy trailer ait split and would not pull very well then i repleced the pipe and it now goes better than before

so

replace it and feel the difference
