Looking good but not working yet.
I've try'd to change my car details but to no avail.
I guess theres still some tinkering to be done.
I like the membership details part.
Great way of getting details of local Mud Club events and newsletters.
Good idea guys.

Jake,

What problem did you have with the vehicle details ?   It should be working OK, so you might have found a problem.

3 points.
Edit profile information, edit main vehicle information and edit vehicle specs arn't working.
I changed all the details in profile (inc picture) and it did nothing.
I changed the vehicle infomation, waited for it then checked it. same.
And the spec details, is there a way of deleteing spec?
I've changed my vehicle and cant get rid of all the old stuff.

Do you have any "helpful" "security" software like Norton installed ?

If so, you probably need to make sure that it isn't doing something "helpful" like blocking cookies from http://members.mud-club.com

OK..

Current investigations suggest that if you don't enter your username *exactly* as it is on the forum when you log in to admin (i.e. with all the Capital Letters in the right places) then it won't work.

I'll hopefully confirm this and find a fix shortly.

Updated mine and it worked nicely :D

What's the "Vehicle Specs" bit about? Has someone done it so I can see the results?

I just renewed my membership too, there's no option for South Yorkshire or Yorkshire, though I notice West Yorkshire is included.

There is a menu item on the admin page to manage your membership.  This includes membership renewals and some opt-ins for emails from the club, etc.

Because I don't actually believe we have anywhere near 3000 members !

Just like any other club, memberships will need to be renewed on a yearly basis.. this will allow us to more effectively manage the members database and make some of the areas of the site more efficient.

The automated reminders, etc. aren't in place yet, but they will be shortly.  Hopefully these will remind a few long-fogotten members that we are here too :-)

OK, that all sounds good! What is (will be) the effect of "passing" your renewal date without taking action? Will the usernames stay pending renewal, or will they be deleted / disabled?

I'm just interested (nosey)

There will be a couple of reminder emails coming up to the renewal date, and  then one after it has passed.

A short time after this, the account will be disabled and an email notification sent to that effect.  If no action is taken, the account will be removed.

As well as details of the renewal, there will also be details of how not to renew so that we aren't bombarding people with emails who no longer wish to be members.
