Bought new TV 25 months ago with 24 month warranty and guess what ??? Yes you got it.............Its bu##ered. 28"tv but you can only see the middle third which is sort of concave shaped.Do these things have timers in them???????

Yes there is a little chip in them at gos into selfdestruc mode its programed to opperate when the warrenty runs out and before you can renew it

is it tft/crt/lcd/plasma?

depending on how much you value your tv you can get it repaired sometimes.. if its the old fashioned crt its usually the guns inside that have gone..

There is a superb littlle independant repair place in Bury St. Edmunds, our TV went t*ts up (28" widescreen Hitachi) and when most places wanted £ 50 callout I dropped it of to them and went back two days later armed with £ 25!
