Thankfully we live in a country where our medical care is not decided by someone's value of our worth or how much we deserve it.

As datalas says...  some respect for the family and the passing of a human being is requested.

Yes agree so our medical care is not decided by someones value of worth

[bollards] Shropshire s health care is I think £35 million in debt...

So Im 67 with a health issue  or Im a 59 year old celebrity with media input...which will be favoured?

However, this sort of thing can rapidly descend into moral judgement and a tirade against the transplant system or whoever knows what else.

So I was wrong and it's decended into a tirade against the NHS, which incidently doesn't apply as his son paid for private treatment.

I'm not arguing that there isn't a discrepancy between how people are
treated, nor am I going to argue the moral issues regarding transplants.

I would argue that if there is a discrepancy, it's not caused by the doctors, nurses or anyone with direct contact with patients, they are doing their best under difficult circumstances.

I am however going to point out that my grandfather is in hospital and not expected to see Christmas,  so regardless of your feelings towards the NHS (heaven knows I have some opinions on this matter myself) I was merely requesting that this not decend into a rant about anything.

Hence this topic is going to be locked, sorry if you don't agree, feel free to tell me off about it.
