Surf exhaust
« on: November 23, 2005, 14:18:36 »
My little Bro has a Surf, and it needs a new exhaust - can anyone suggest a decent supplier (North Wales area preferably), and descent make of pipe ?

It's been suggested that he goes for a 'straight thru' system - any pros or cons for this ?

TIA

Milners are about the cheapest for Surf bits,  http://www.milneroffroad.com/index.html or http://www.toyotahilux.com/index.php?doc=1 for a 3 year guaranteed one.

If he wants more power a 3 inch from the turbo to back should be better, a couple of people on the surf forum have had custom stainless systems made for around £350, the company are powerflow.

Thanks Andy, me Bro frequents the Surf forum too - but I suspect he's not had the brains to ask the question  ](*,)

Hi, I bought a back box on ebay from a place down in London..... can't remember the name of the place, but they do all types of exhaust for jap imports, and they were well cheaper than Milner and Roughtrax!

When I ripped off my back box while offroading (again)- I got an entire custom stainless system made for about £300 by Powerflow- that's LESS than non OEM mild steel system. Got to be worth considering?

i went into the local powerflow place (used to work there) & they wanted £295 cash for just a rear section on my 90,ie from the centre back & over the axle & out with just a small silencer, needless to say i still have my home made system that cost me £30
