Heater Blower
johnty:
You have to split open the heater box to get at the motor proper.
Once you have losened the dash sufficiently to lift it up a bit you might as well take it out all the heater vent pipes come with it and you dont have to fiddle with them to put it back.
After you have taken off the grab handle and steeringwheel/instrument cluster there are just 6 screws holding the dash in. There are 2 each side behind the footwell kick panels and 1 each side sort of half way up the dash right next to the door seal
hobbit:
and a suitable limbo dancer to get in there

After id finished I though wow was that it ! Theres nowt to it !!!!!!

--- Quote from: "TUFFTEE" ---How far do i have to Dig down to get to the Heater Fan? So that i can Squirt some oil on the Bearing?
In other words What do i have to remove to get to it?
Cos its squealling like a stuck Pig!
--- End quote ---
Its a days job MINIMUM first time round, and you might be doing it soon after again, the bearings also act as slip-rings....
MuddyMike:
I was once told that when they build a Discovery the first part is the chassis, the second the body frame, then in goes the heater :-) everything else follows.
