I agree and witnessed some unmentionables shouting their heads of thru it too, that gives me a sense of dismay over their lack of respect.

We all stopped in our department, & even asked all the patients not to ask for bed-pans, etc for 2 minutes.
Surprisingly even the mob in the waiting room kept 'schtum'

I wish I could say the same, in my dental practice it was business as usual. I stopped, asked the others to stop and they just looked at me like I'd gone mad

My boss cares more for money and london rudeness than what people have done for this country.

Feeling really quite let down by London, no one in the street stopped, no cars pulled over.  But thats the crazy rude miserable life in central london.  In my old practice in London we would stop, even if in surgery.  Some people are just so dam rude

I had my radio 2 on and I stopped at the chimes.  I will remember them even if only a few in London did.

Moving out of the hellish London life this weekend to greener pastures!  Thank god  :D  :D  :D

We were in Meadowhall shopping, it was absolutely fascinating to see the whole place come to a standstill at a normally very busy time of the day.

i was in school and all the pupils were asked to be quiet for 2 minutes,  one teacher brought a radio in so they could listen to big ben strike.  well impressed as there is over 200 pupils in years 3-6 in junior school not a noise from any of them!
