Split Charge Done!

<< < (2/4) > >>

gords:
Why doesn't your airbox have the inlet pipe coming out of the front? :?  How does the air get in?

Damonski:
It did, but it got the chop so the battery would sit in place.  :) Air just arrives through the bigger hole now, the idea is that eventually it will get a snorkel.

tonka toy:

Me to please, got two 680 batteries ready & waiting,

Thanks in advance John.

Budgie:
When I put mine in I fixed the relay on the other inner wing, near the brake servo, so it was out of the way of the snorkle.
Right behind the airbox I've got a distribution fuse box fitted which runs things like the roof & spot lights, inverter, cigar lighter socket in the rear (handy for running a cooler box when camping!!) etc. The winch is also powered from the second battery (with a cut-off switch).
The next job is to change the battery. I'm running an Optima Orange top as the spare and it's not let me down yet but I want to put that in as the vehicle battery and get a Deep Cycle Yellow top to run all the other bits as it will cope with being completely drained.

When I put it together I searched around and got a wiring diagramme from www.kampenwagen.co.uk.
