Dunno about defender but on the rad of a disco tdi, there is a plug, when I was having problems with overheating, i fitted a mechanical temp guage, and found I could fit the sender in this hole and tighten down on the thread

When i changed the rad, the flamin thread in the hole changed too, couldn't refit it the guage, yet :?

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Mikee I took mine to a lacal pulmbers suplier

They found one but a little loose for 25p

Used loads of PTFE tape and it sealed a treat!

Im working on the hybrid on Sunday, I'll see if it states what size adapter it is.

All I did was take the old sender, the new sender and the plumber guys did the rest
