Discovery Back from Bodyshop.
the loon:
I know exactly what that's like
Had a loan car after an accident (some one went into passenger side when I was on a roundabout)
Claimed on the other drivers insurance as he admited was at fault and was put in touch with a ford garage (big dealer chain in the north east)
to get work carried out.
Was supplied with a little fiesta as loan car while ours was in the body shop.
When we where given the loan car it had a few bits of paper in the glove box but over all was clean so didnt think much of it.
Couple of days later my mobile fell out of my pocket and under the driver seat.I couldnt reach it from the front so when I got where I was going opened up the back door looked under the seat and theres a used condom sitting there.
Needless to say I called the dealers and basicly got the well aint we look into it for you attitude of a snotty receptionist.
I removed the offending item as have 3 young kids so no way I was going to leave it there( It wasnt like had only just been there either as was totaly dried out)and wrote letter to the managing director of the dealer chain pointing out fact that was not only foul but that was a severe health risk etc and asked what they intended to do.
Got a nice letter back saying this was basicly the final straw for there valet company who where now no longer on being contracted plus got full oil and filter change free of charge.
The oil and fillter change was a token gesture I think due to how serious issue was but was amazed to hear they had terminated the contract with there valet company but on speaking to bodyshop manager they had loads of complaints about state of cars being returned/loaned out.
DaveS:
Ha similar problems with my wife's Frontera aftera new wing fitted and small dent in door removed.
Car was full of dust, sticky marks from tape on paint, window did'nt work properly. Had to go back. On holiday in France, door moulding fell off-it was dusty underneath! All fixed after complaints, but that was twice it had to go back!!
What is annoying was that the insurance insisted we use their approved body shop as it is cheaper! (Its a company car)
Our main Vauxhall daeler has a bodyshop and are very good as we used them once before!! Bloody annoying, perhaps we should have wqritten to insurance company? :?:

Yes, they did a sterling job - I reckon they took 6 hours on it, 2 blokes, so that's a lot of work. Couldn't fault it, it was perfect.
Of course, it's not any more :x
Jake:
Looks like Challenger is heading towards the bodyshop now!
SWMBO hit a post this morning.
Dented the NS rear quarter, corner panel, knocked off the end cap and bent the rear bumper.
Pictures to follow
