For future reference, if the rear diff is bust the handbrake won't work either, as it's mounted on the transfer box.

here we go

following a little research the costs are :

£1000 ARB diffs x2
£150   ARB compressor
£150  fitting of the diff centres and tapping the air inlet hole
£450  front and rear HD half shafts (£225 per set - ashcrofts)

£1750

and don' t forget the vat
£306.25

totalling £2056.25

add on a few pennies for halfshaft gaskets and stub axle gaskets etc...

the above assumes no discount, or shipping - See weren't too far out

Just been out and had a look underneth.
When its in diff lock both prop's spin.
So that means diffs or/and half shafts then?

Sounds like it. Have a look on ebay as there was a rolling RRC chassi on there for about £50 with 24 spline axels.
LC 80 series 1993. 285/75/16s Cooper STTs, OME 850s on the front with 25mm packer, 868s on the rear. 4.88 diffs. Winch bumper with 12000lb winch. Factory lockers. HD rear bumper with wheel carrier and winch mount.

One way or the other, its going soon.
If i wanted to fix it, Sodburys this Saturday, i could obtain the bits there.
