Mobile Phone Dilemma
« on: February 26, 2004, 22:21:58 »
im about to upgrade my contract with orange and theyve given me a few phones to choose from to upgrade for free..

However I dont know which one to have..

the options they have given me are...

Motorola V500
Nokia 6100, 7250i
Sony Ericsson T610
LG 7100

i like the motorola but would be glad of anyone's advice on which one is best?

my needs are quite simple..

bluetooth
international use
clear screen
camera (although not essential)
has to look good
oh and good all round quality.

anyone suggest which one i should get?

this could be a minefield of a discussion thread by the way!

i would like to hear from those who have any of the above fones as i wanna hear the pros and cons of each.

thanks

pm if you wish.

d

Personally I quite fancy a Nokia 5210, but that's by-the-by.

Sorry Dyfed, can't help you.

I have a Sony Z600, this is one of their new(ish) phones, but it is basically a clamshell version of T610 (same spec) blue tooth (useful in the car with their car kit, you just get into the car and it automatically connects, even whilst still in your pocket.

Camera is not bad either; the biggest draw back is if you are into ring tone, if you are stick to a Nokia.

Dyf, I've just upgraded my Orange phone to a Motorola V600.
My main want was Bluetooth and Orange don't offer that many, it eventually came down to the T610 or V500, then I found they'd introduced the V600 earlier than expected. So far I've no problems with it and it's much better than the pile of s**** SPV. Better looking than the V500 too :)
Cheers
