Police response time to 999 call ...what a joke

landyman Ash:
Blimey, not great!

I have to say at a recent off road weekend at Sibertoft and we were camped at the end of the runway

A load of joy riders drove onto the runway and were doing doughnuts and getting scarily close to the tents so we rand the police

We had 2 cop cars AND the helicopter (which did a full sweep of the runway) in less than 10 mins!!

Now that is service!!!  :D

We see quite a lot of the Police for various reasons; Assaults, RTA's, 'knock-downs', plus their customers that are brought in
If they're called, due to a violent/aggressive patient,  (like last Friday  )they get there as soon as they can as they know where the calls come from & the call-centre seems to give the Hospital priority.

Admittedly, they sometimes have to priorotise their staff, same as anyone else.

When our BWSOW was almost nicked, they attended the scene to speak to witnesses within 15minutes. We were seen within 2 hours to be told what their immediate enquiries had wrought.

Someone we know at the Hospital had their BWSOW nicked & her hubby (attached to CID) pulled a few strings & the chopper was put up (or it was up already??)

Xtremeteam:
had my windows of my last car smashed by a group of neds because i didnt want to fight them at bout 11pm,foned the polis & at 2 oclock in the morning got back intouch to ask if i could leave my car where it was so they could have a look the next day  ,told them id dust of the seats n drive it home as iw asnt leaving it there, got home & had been in the house for 15min when a maverick up the road had all its windows tanned by the guys drunk ex GF,foned the polis again & they were there within 15min,   ,the distance between the 2 incidents was 6 miles & both incidents the polis station was the same distance appart

nicky:
My husband used to be a social worker and worker in a remand unit, some of the stories he told me about the police turning up with between 6 - 8 copper to arrest a 13 year old lad for twoc it's a joke.

Admittedly  , we (collectively) have a direct line to 'Wood Street' (Wakefields main Police Station) so we can cut out the call-centres
