1st time in Yorkshire

Well me and SWMBO have just got back from a weekend in Yorkshire,
Pateley Bridge to be precise, we were stopping with some friends of ours we first met at Billing 5 or 6 years ago. Having spent the saturday seeing the local sights in and around Pateley Bridge including Englands oldest sweet shop ,on the sunday they took us to
Scar Dam in the valley of the river Nidd, fantastic place and amazing views. we then took the (even more) scenic route back over the top   . what a great way to end a brill weekend.

Its lovely up there.  I was there last week and am arranging a mud-club laning day up there on 23/10.  It wakes up the walkers when you drive over the dam wall doesn't it :)

And southerners think we're being possessive, boastful & simply downright proud of our county

As seen here in; Yorkshire. The Texas Of England

Glad you thought it was worth it coming up here, will you be returning?

Without having the relevant OS sheet to hand (for the shape), I think this is Angram & Scar-House reservoirs.

Next time we'll head over the 'Peak District'
