Didn't think the programme was too bad considering it was the BBC who are generally incapable of reporting anything accurately or without extreme bias :roll:
The 'Rambler rep' got a lot more coverage, but he was concerned mainly with National Parks. The '4 x 4 man' made the point that vehicles have access to only 5% of lanes, Ramblers have 100% access.
What narked me was the farmer who kept blaming
Land Rovers (sic) although the only Land Rovers shown were a classic Rangie (with tailgate flapping in the wind :!: ) and a Defender being driven responsibly on an off-road course
Lots of motorbikes shown though.
As someone who does a lot of walking in the countryside around East Northants, most of the unsurfaced tracks around here are cut up by horses, mountain bikers and especially farmers, but I take the attitude that they have as much right to use the countyside as I do.
