Not sure if your interested but i've got a daihtsu 2.8td with the conv plate and engine mounts that i was going to put in my 88" truckcab but ive changed my mind and im putting a 300 TDi in my rangie now instead.

I haven't got any picks yet but i'm looking for offers over £300 for the lot?
the engine has only done 120k and is nice and clean. :)

drop me a PM or give me a call if your interested.

Ah well thats a shame it's a realy sweet engine and no nasty timing belts to worry about.........I did think that i might consider a swop for an overdrive and a small amount of the folding stuff! but i could realy do with the spare cast to spend on the rangie.

Without a conversion plate i would have thought you are limited.  I believe a common conversion is the Perkins Prima 2.0TD out of a montego due to the being so common, cheap and economical but you would need a conversion plate.

You can fit 2.5 petrol, 2.5 nad, 2.5td, 200tdi, 300tdi from a defender and with a little extra work a 200tdi or 300tdi from a disco,  None of these engine require a conversion plate or the engine mountings modifying.. They just bolt in, i put a 200TDI in my swb series landi, it only took a night to remove the old 2.25d and fit the 200TDI in all bolted up, which just left a few old bits to tie up.

2.5 Diesel and petrols fit from 90/110 will have to use sereis Clutch plate and 90/110 pressure plate

did the conversion in my series from 2.25 3 Bearing, to 2.5 petrol from a 110 (85/86)

and you dont have to move the engine mounts either
