Canary under bonnet

<< < (3/5) > >>

robbie:
similar sound I had on the Disco... turned out to be the main belt needing a change.... job done :)

I did get some belt spray from my local spares shop which quitened it down until I got round to changing it, and it proved the belt was at fault

Kenny:
I thought Belt, however it does not make the noise when stationary and revs are applied.

Seems to coincide with the road surface also. Slightly uneven and it occurs more.

Really, really strange this one and REALLY REALLY ANNOYING

Damian

EvilEd:
Going too fast round corners ???

Take some WD40 with you.... drive... squeak, spray one joint.... drive squeal... spray one joint... may help you find where it's squeaking at least...

If it doesn;t do it more when cornering, then I would guess it was going to be half shafts or engine pullies....

Kenny:
Hmm, may have found the culprit. What do you lot think. The rear UJ on the front prop is shot. Still works but loads and loads of movement. Now could this be causing the canary ?

For now gonna shove a load of grease on it adn see what happens.

Damian

davidlandy:
still replace though...the grease aint the cure now
