Wading preparation - what to do?

<< < (2/3) > >>

landyman Ash:
You can get breather tubes off eblag for about £20 which also includes a wading plug.

My series could go deep, very deep!

Snorkel is required BUT if you are not intending to go that deep just axle breathers up high (if you fit a snorkel, run them up that high) and a wading plug in the bell housing should do you right.

If you get addicted it can be very damaging but isnt that what a land rover is for?  Mine has breathers for gearbox, transfer, axles, engine and at worse, one for me

Wanderer:
Good point Ash,

I'd not thought of a driver breather. I thought it would have stoped working by the time I needed one.

I must think again

Of course!  Always need a driver breather pipe.  I find this one very versitile http://www.simplysnorkel.com/ProductDetails.aspx?StockID=71354  and quite well priced.

I would advise disconnecting it after use as people laugh at you and its a nightmare drinking beer with it still attached.

Did consider investing in a passenger snorkel but passengers are so easily replaced these days I decided not to waste my money  :-s
