Wading preparation - what to do?

Hi All

I maybe naively thoguht that I could just find a pond and jump in it with our Series3 but I've just read to my alarm about extended axle breather tubes for wading? DO we need these and what modifications would you recommend we make before we get our feet wet for the first time?

thanks
Matt

rustprooflandyracer:
- Wading plug
- Axel breathers

wouldn't take it any deeper than the bottom of the bumper, you have a diesel any way so not many electrics to worry about, just alternator, ignition system, liberal coating of WD40 for electrics. Just do not stall in the pond, so keep fairly good engine revs, and steady forward momentum, so you just create a bow wave.

well... it hasnt failed me yet

Landieman:
Disconnect the fan, saves chucking water all of the place

Bush Tucker Man:
Wellies, or chest waders, dependant on how deep you're going
If it's warm; swimming trunks

hobbit:
attach rope to front or rear towing point and drape it up high

Just in case
