Your Land Rover idiosyncrasies/facts....
« on: September 15, 2005, 21:33:21 »
Things I have recently found out about my Land Rovers:

My Series 2...

 - Fuel tank leaks when filled to Brim
 - Costs Blinkin loads driving to work and back
 - Standard little mirrors are 'interesting' in use
:? - People think I'm driving my dads car
 - Stopping distances are interesting
 - Gets some Funny Looks driving down M6 motorway into Brum (at 55mph)
:D - Parabolics actually make it quite comfortable

My 110".....

 - Has two cracked pistons
 - Has four cracked hotspots
 - Poor running was caused by leaking diaphram in injector pump.... found after buying new injectors and a turbo (needed changing anyway)
 - Engine is currently in bits (Hence why I'm driving the Series 2 more)

My 90"....

- Still in bits - must put back together!!!!

Arghh....The joys of Land Rover Ownership

Don't you just love'em !!!!

Np prob Dazza, LPG 32p/litre    Oour 3.9 costs less than a Mondeo to run now and little more than either the Fiesta or Diesel Micra.  Parts are cheaper too.

We are going to convert the RR efi to LPG (need to decide on which type Closed loop of sequential injection)

I wont be taking to a LPGA approved garage thou, very bad and costly experance last time.
