NEW VVT CONVERTIBLE JIMNY
« on: September 11, 2005, 18:59:03 »
Saw the new jimny vvt convertible at my local showroom, what a cracker!!!!!!  :) nice to see it in one plain colour and the good thing about it is that it comes in the new cashmere blue and silky silver. Nice dark black seats inside pram top roof (same old press studs though) I wonder if they have made the roofs any stronger.

But it looks the business thought you all might like to know.

I'm going to see it this week as mine is going in AGAIN for warranty work, wipers dont switch off, oil slick from rear wheel (diff oil!) ABS sensor, and washer pump, not much this month then......
I do get tempted to buy another car, could be hard going when the warrantys gone, dont think it'll be a suzuki next time though, been far too much trouble.

anyhow, mines in one colour, has black seats, and has the new style pram roof made of canvas rather than the plastic thing they used to have, not much changed then

strange you have problems with your Jimny, we have had ours for 2 yrs now and no real probs. It does need to go in this week cos the reversing light have stopped working.

We use ours for driving tuition too and you can imagine the stick it gets!!!
If I could only find some mud to play in, I would be as happy as the preverbial pig!!!

Ibought my Jimny from a member of the family, they had made no claims on the warranty covering 28000 mls , it was 3yrs old when i bought it --it has now covered 54000  had a problem with ignition-sensor  but thats it, every weekend it gets a thrashing off-road  it never complains all in all a reliable little car, we also have a GVv6 , 15000 no probs yet!  also used to have vitara 1600 that covered 72000 no major probs . we did own a Discovery with 8000 mls  on it  - made 17 warranty claims  then the dealer went broke  rover took ages to sort things out  so we got rid of it and bought GV V6 dramatic improvement in reliability -we love em.
