Are we talking about the same thing, i was always taught that they should be lined up, if not, why not??
If they should be disaligned, then i shall change it back again.
This is the front prop on a classic range rover.

ok after a lot of telephone calls and running around
the best place to get the transfer box out put flange(allows 200 series tfer box to mate with td5 carden coupling)
devon 4x4
part number stc 4379
39 pounds plus vat and carriage
bar propshafts swansea will supply and fit the double carden td5 joint on your prop for 135 ish pounds
ill tell you if it solves my problem
i think there should be a workshop article on this!!!
ill take pics of all before after etc
