Out & About. Sunday 4th September
« on: September 04, 2005, 20:52:13 »
I got a phone-call just as I was leaving work at 14:30.
It was the wife;
"Hi, have you got any plans for this afternoon?"

"No, apart from taking the Dogs for a walk. Why????"

"Oh, Sam phoned & asked if you want to go to ....... with him!"

"I'm on my way!!!"

So after a quick dash home & a rapid wash & change of clothes, I was waiting to be picked up.

Guess what I've been doing this afternoon?

It involves 3-wheels, a 4-cylinder horizontally-oppposed, air-cooled engine.

No!, it wasn't a trike :D  8)  :lol:  :wink:

First time I'd been in his Nissan Patrol 3.0litre diesel. Not bad

Indeed it was.
My pilot has about 50hours in single-engined. We flew up the A1 & crossed over to Harrogate, then up over to Wharfedale over Bolton Abbey.

Pity it was so hazey up there.

Even circled the house on our return journey :lol:

Yip.  If you look at nearly all the club aircraft there, they are G-SAC?, as in Sherburn Aero Club.

Don't be too harsh on him.

It's partly my fault, I wanted to know who was waving at me from an Escort or RR next time I came to Leicester.
