BBC Yorkshire Lanes
Stormin:
BBc report on green lanes in Yorkshire Dales NP. Breakfast tv this morning. Tis now 8 am.
TUFFTEE:
I missed it and its only 8.45 am! sat! during the week it would have been on untill a little later! :(
Stormin:
You didn't miss much. 2 minutes tops. NP ranger gave usual view on how the NP is for walkers, cyclists and horse riders only. Fine if you can walk, cycle or ride a horse. Geoff Wilson said how only 5% of rights of way have vehicular rights and that compromise can be achieved. It works reasonably well in the Lakes.

Agree 100%, my wife cant walk far at all, ride a flamin horse or ride a bike, perhaps he would like to accommodate her by giving her a piggy back ride to see the beautiful views open to the public
What about disability rights? Or is this only for the towns?
(goes back into the corner and scowls, growling at the dog)
Stormin:
Don't take it out on the dog. :( It can't cycle or ride a horse either. I agree, they NEVER mention disability. I used to do a lot of cycling of the touring kind and also walking. Have had horses also. Due to a back injury some years ago and a dodgy leg, plus the aging factor, I have to be a bit wary.
