Tyres! Help Question!
« on: August 24, 2005, 22:03:39 »
Hi, quick question..... Front tyres need replacing on Shirleys Disco.... Back one loads of meat, front not so.

Can I just get 2 new tyres for front, or do I need four?

Can I mix makes?

If so anyone got 2 I can buy? Standard road pattern Michellin GT4+ fitted at the moment, look a little like BFG AT I think

Just get the two if that's all you need.

You can, Just make sure they are the same size as  the others you have fitted.

To repeat, make sure they ARE the same size, tyres marked say 235/70x16 have a NOMINAL diameter, two makes, potentially two quite different sizes for the same NOMINAL size....

Hi They are 235/70 R 16.

Shirley's been and got some new hoops, £86 fitted etc. Goodyear GT+4's x2. Nice men and Kwic Fit (I know...) fitted then..... wrong way wrong.... She went off for a hour, came back only to find white letters on the outside, very nice, thought she asked them to fit that on the inside.... Cue another long wait!!!

Shame they had 21 and 27psi in when I checked them...

Thanks to all for the advise as usual...

P.S My Disco V8 LPG for sale..... £3900...offers??!!
