fold down windscreen

can any one tell me is it only the series 1,2,2a that have the fold down wind screen, or does the series 3 have it as well, what about the 90s?

No. only series vehicles had the comonly used fold down window. But the earlier defenders and 90/110's had them up to about 1994. Look at how the windscreen is fitted, and they are clearly hinges.

Although originally the windows are designed to sit on the spare wheel onthe bonnet, so watchout for the bonnet if no spare wheel, might need a packer of some type to protect it

Just a side-note... if you are thinking of driving with the screen down... wear goggles !   A fly in the eye is not a good thing when you're pottering along in a couple of tons of Land Rover... that's assuming your eyes aren't watering so much you can see at all of course ;-)
