Regard angle grinders as disposable items. IMHO not a lot of difference between cheapos & pricey ones for DIY longevity. I just regard it as another expense when estimating the price of a job or task.

I must admit, I used to think that until I got my DeWalt grinders... been going strong forever and they get loads of use.
Up to then, I'd tried B&D, El-Cheapo, Bosch (wasn't too bad) and they all fell over eventually.
