'Mudder' Spotted
« on: July 13, 2005, 18:20:40 »
I was out this fine afternoon on a photo-hunt, which started in Bradford & continued up to Esholt, Eldwick, Ilkley, etc.....

Whilst on my way towards Esholt (at about 12:30), I spotted a (far too clean) Discovery in a car-park.

Wonder who it belongs to??? :wink:

I must confess I think it's quite dirty at the moment, haven't given it a proper wash in weeks  :shock:

What time did you pass Richard, as I had to pop home at dinner time which was around 12:40, and that parking spot had been nicked by the time I returned.

Must only just of missed you   :?:

Nice pic, does sort of stand out in the car park though  :lol:

Yes it was at 12:29 according to the camera.
There were quite a few people entering & leaving the car-park.

I did consider asking someone if you were around, but didn't know how many worked there & thus the chance of finding someone who knows you.

How would I phrase the question?
"Excuse me, but do you know the owner of this Discovery? Is he on his dinner?"
Reply;
"Sorry mate, haven't got a clue"

OR;
"Excuse me, do you know a bloke who salivates over 'Auto-Glym' & 'Turtle-Wax' adverts?"
Reply; "Oh, you mean Andy" :lol:  :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

No. I didn't go in 'The Woolpack', I was obviously local to it & I'd never been to Esholt before so thought I'd have a quick look.

You'll still fall under the 'umberella' coverage of a hosepipe ban :D

When I took bro-in-law to Manchester airport over Woodhead Pass, it was surprising how low the levels were in that chain (Woodhead, Torside, Rhodeswood, Valehouse & Bottoms) of reservoirs

The water level can be controlled in Woodhead from the north side of 9 arch bridge - can be filled or emptied at the flick of a switch :wink:

Don't worry Andy, you're safe in Leeds.
As I went over the A59 yesterday I glimpsed across as I passed the Blubberhouses junction & Fewston looks practically full.

Yes, non Yorkshire-people. There is really a place called Blubberhouses :D

The one up here that really makes some snigger is Penistone. Some of the Nurses from other areas stil don't believe the name if they see it ona patients details.
Pronounced; 'Pennys-ton' (as in money & weight)
