Poly vs. Rubber

--- Quote from: "muddyweb" ---Well,
I can officially report that the rubber panhard rod bushes don't last as long.
I put a set in a couple of months back to test the theory for certain, and they need doing already.
So far, I've used Polybush Orange, Ironman and OE Rubber.. Ironman is the winner so far.
Next on the list is a set of the SuperPro bushes that Mill Services sell... They come with a 3 year warranty (for what I don't know yet)... Expect a report in a few months !

one thing I have noticed Tim and that is the metal that the bolts go through to mount the panhard rod and other items to the axle and chassis seems to have an extraordinary wear rate with polybushes fitted, I have gone back to original type rubber bushes due to this wear as they are more sacrificial than the metal
muddyweb:
Yeah... that seems to be quite a common failure... the mounting holes go oval.. and of course when they start to move, the problem just gets worse.
I had to repair the fixings on both ends a while ago... I haven't had a 'known' starting point for them for comparison, so I don't know if the different bushes have had an effect on mine.
