Poly vs. Rubber
muddyweb:
Well,
I can officially report that the rubber panhard rod bushes don't last as long.
I put a set in a couple of months back to test the theory for certain, and they need doing already.
So far, I've used Polybush Orange, Ironman and OE Rubber.. Ironman is the winner so far.
Next on the list is a set of the SuperPro bushes that Mill Services sell... They come with a 3 year warranty (for what I don't know yet)... Expect a report in a few months !
bovaboy:
Blimey, how do you get through so many?
hobbit:
Yes my disco last year chewed through rubber Panhard bushes in 2 months
Changed them I think it was around August, and still going strong on Poly bushes. [-o<
davidlandy:
mines now on orange polys, been in for about 4months and there is a little bit of play in them
Range Rover Blues:
Bought a set of black Deflex from Rimmer's, must be 2 years ago now. Fitted the Panhard rod straight away and all the others over the next 2 years, so I decided to swap the Panhard rod again. No noticeable wear but a small amount of hardening and the bushes had stuck to the rod. For what they cost and how long it now takes to swap poly for poly I wouldn't go back to rubber, it's as easy as swapping an oil filter.
