Xtremeteam:
one other thing is if it drips fuel on to the ground its more than likely to be the fuel block conector on the head thats leaking as its what u can hear the air purging out of when u switch the ignition on & it whines away, its a starter off job to replace it (did 1 2day,owner never noticed the fuel pourin out)

Range Rover Blues:
Just read all the above  .  I think my advice would be 'leave it in the shop', buy something older that you can fix with a big hammer.

thermidorthelobster:
The trouble is if you ask what the points to look out for are, you're going to get a big long list for *any* vehicle - it's a relative thing.

I've had my TD5 for a year and the only problem I had was a weepy hub seal, and an oil leak in the injector loom, both of which were sorted easily (by a dealer, but if I'd been so inclined there would have been nothing to stop me doing both these jobs myself).  The rest has been going swimmingly.

On the whole these are good, solid vehicles, notwithstanding Hightower's  :x

hrh_dave:
v8redline - yeh you can get new sensors, just not from a rossleigh dealership, if you need them speak to the parts manager at Pentland very helpful people and istr that they are about 50quid.

Xtremeteam:
spoke to him on fri & yes you can buy the sensors sepratly BUT they dont come with the plug fitted so you have to chop & join the wires so you can fit it  :?
