Yes. The universe is more or less infinite, so it would be rather arrogant to think that Earth is the only planet where the correct conditions arose for life. Chances are that there's a Slime Squad on planet Quueeeglug who're moaning about slitherers trying to ban their anti-grav buggies from the trails around the hive city.

I don't believe that UFOs are their attempts to visit us though - that tale has undoubtedly been supported by various air forces in an attempt to deflect attention from the prototype and secret aircraft which cause the sightings.

The idea of "belief in UFOs" baffles me. UFOs exist. They're anything in the sky that can't be identified, as the acronym suggests. Belief that they are (or aren't) aliens from another world is something else entirely!

If I throw a frisby in the air the next person who sees it might and correctly think it a UFO

ok then do u believe that there is something else out there on other planets

You really are pushing our brains, aren't you?

There are two schools of thought here....

One..... In the vastness of the universe, there must be some other form of life. How can we possibly be alone, being just a tiny speck?

Two.... Life, as we know it, needs an infinitely fine balance of factors to exist (scientifically, that is!!). This means that it is highly unlikely that equivalent life exists elsewhere.

There, that didn't answer the question. Did it?

You might also consider devine intervention on numerous occasions given how many huge crashes he had during his career   Such a shame the same could not be said of the helicopter that took him, and others, from us.

Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite eno-o-o-o-o-ough...

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour,
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour,
Of the galaxy we call the "Milky Way".

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
It's a hundred thousand light years side to side.
It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick,
But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide.
We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point.
We go 'round every two hundred million years,
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'Cause there's [!Expletive Deleted!] all down here on Earth.

The only problem with this is that accordingly on the 7th day - god said let there be light!

Actually, according to the bible "And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done."

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

And God said,
I HAVE THE BODY OF A GOD

shame its Budda!!

Okay, the weirdo's arrived!!
Me and my mates chucked this question about, and I threw this concept into the mix;

I think WE are Martians. Our predecessor's made a mess of our planet, something akin to global warning, and had to leave, but only some of our predecessors got through and found earth. The select committee were the ones who didn't make it, so those who did arrive safely, were forced to start again. Which is why our technological advances comes in fits and starts.
Because, i feel,  "The History of Man" is rather sketchy, i.e. the Iceage, Bronze-age, Roman domination, one minute we're walking like an ape, then we're flying to the next planet, all in a relatively small timescale, in the scheme of things.
On the subject of time, why are we not living in the year 2,000,2010, or even 2,000,000,2010.

I'm not sure about this evolution theory either. How come, if it existed, something as powerful and top of the food-chain as a Tyrranasaurus-Rex is now reduced to being a dumb Pheasant scratching about for grubs and worms.

I don't believe in invisible beings, the people I meet are alive, and I interact with them, as our species are supposed to do, that's what i believe in. I've said this to Jehovah's Witnesses, Muslims and Christians and got such disgusting looks, but what the heck.

So, that's my ideas and theories folks, make of them as you will.
I've not said this to shock or disillusion anyone. You all choose to believe in your own thing, and I'm not putting down your beliefs, it's not in my nature.

Because we cannot possibly nail down a specific year, day, hour, etc as to when the earth 'popped' into existence. And the definition or measuring of time wasn't thought of until relatively recently.

After all, the dinosaurs couldn't read a clock and some of them would have difficulty turning the page on a calender
