300TDi Central locking fault again.
« on: June 20, 2008, 22:53:51 »
I have just repaired the ecu for my rear windows after reading a post on here.
Now I'm on a roll I thought I would tackle a few other minor irritations.
When I use the remote all doors unlock except the drivers door, I have to use the key for this one.
Its the same for locking I have to use the key. Is this one of those springs that I've seen on eBay or is it the actuator in the door?
Is it fixable or do I need to replace it
I know this is a common fault but I couldn't find a post on it when I tried to search.
Any help gratefully received.

Same thing was up with mine, took the trim panel off ,and it was the linkages to the lock.the actuator works o.k.but just wasnt connected to lock. just joined them up again.

I had a look today in the rain can't see any movement at all when using the remote. Is the actuator the black bit with wires going in one end and metal rod coming out the other? :-k should I just try swapping this with a replacement?
