now this is reallly starting to tick me off.

Every now and again (normaly when in reverse and the engine is cold) the bite point of the clutch is really low.

I changed the slave cylinder as the bleed nipple was solid and it worked fine for about a month.

It started playing up again so I took it back to the dealer. The mechanic said he found a bolt loose and tightened it up (didnt charge me for anything ). It worked great for about a month then this morning it started again !!!!!!

Anybody got any ideas? (the master isnt losing any fluid by the way)

Hi there,

I changed the clutch m/cylinder on mine recently. I wonder if the bolt/nut was on the threaded rod coming out of the cylinder, which connects to the pedal through amother lever, with a nut either side. Are the threads a bit worn & slipping? You will c what I mean if you take the top cover off the m/cylinder housing/box, 6 screws I believe. :wink:

thanks for that Dave.

I cant see anything worn or lose. I will have to strip the whole lot out when it gets warmer.

Or just put up with it and call it 'Character' or refer to it as 'land rover thing'
