my k-reg 200tdi handbrake stick on and wont fully release any ideas anyone ?????

i have put new handbrake shoes on

Did you clean out the mechanism... the angular slider thingies tend to get full of crap.....
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

Check the earths from engine/gearbox to chassis-the handbrake cable might be the earth and overheated the cable inners!

mine stuck on a few weeks ago an it was jus the cable, i took the gaiter off an could see the cable bending so some good ol wd40 down the cable casing has fixed it for now (after takin the prop shaft an the drum off for no reason) :oops:  :oops:  :oops:

yes i cleaned out the slidey things and copper greased them cable looks a bit old but will keep you all informed today when i have a look

Did you adjust the brake correctly after fitting new shoes?
Did everyone see that?  Because I will NOT be doing it again!
