Swivel fun
« on: June 16, 2007, 20:40:17 »
Last week after putting full lock on the 90 after coming out of Headley ford I must have ripped the swivel seal, it has always been a wet swivel, but last week it kept marking it's parking space, and as it had one shot grease in there, which was now leaking, I decided it was time to do something. Can see why once it was off...

Got a 2nd hand swivel and housing and went to fitr, then realised it was a left hand not right
Went back to where it came from and he swapped it.
Stripped the old one down, built the new one up then thought, that don't look right, and the reason, he has given me a Disco right hand...

Luckily my mate had a seal kit, so it was time to deep strip the whole assembly and rebuild with my houseing, the other swivel and new seals.

Good experience, and enjoyed it, allthough a very messy job, and all back and road tested
